Is nothing happening right now? Have to say it's looking like Autumn has come early to Britain. =(

I'm coming back over again (already!) in October for the Voice of the Beehive reunion shows. The first time I ever went to the UK was in December 2003, for the same reason, on their first reunion. That time, I was also lucky enough to see Human League in Sheffield and meet quite a few of you! Here's hoping they have a show in October, but it doesn't seem like that's in the cards this time.

The summer festivals are over by the end of September so it's unlikely they will be doing anything in October, unless they do a one off rehearsal show in Sheffield before the Australian tour, not sure if this is very likely. I'm a bit surprised the League aren't doing a few dates in south east Asia around the same time as the Oz tour ditto New Zealand.

Just got my copy of 'Electric Dreams' recently released on Blu-Ray in a unique black case and slip cover. Aside from the main film feature of 96 min (which frankly has never looked better thanks to High Definition) there are three new special items on offer for this release. I've only properly watched 'Is This A Story', a fascinating interview (18:23) with Steve Barron whom name checked Giorgio, Phil and The Human League. The longest special feature is 'Electric Dreaming' and I have not yet heard what writer/co-producer Rust Lemorande has to say over 41:27 length. Lastly there is 'Miles And Madeline' where we talk with stars Lenny von Dohlen (now sporting a (IMO) shocking mane of silver grey hair!) and Virginia Madsen which lasts 20:47.

I've had a Blu-Ray for a few years but this title is only my 9th... for me it has to be something pretty special that benefits the enhanced formats and I think 'Electric Dreams' ticks that box very well made even more appealing by a good smattering of great 80s music! =D

Tune in tonight at 7.30 for The League's performance of The Lebanon on TOTP on BBC Four. It's also repeated later tonight and on Saturday night and will be available on the iplayer afterwards. More info here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b090tsr6 Tonight's episode looks particularly good as New Order, Blancmange, OMD and Duran Duran are also featured :)

Just watching it at the moment... OMD kick things off followed by Blancmange video then after the second chart countdown we head back to number 19 for 'The Lebanon' before we eventually get to the top of the charts song 'The Reflex', not in the studio but on video (ho, hum... :/ )

Hope this link works...

Watched this TOTP last night best episode I've seen lately, I'd forgotten how beautiful all of the Human League were when they were young, but who were those ugly guys at the end?
