Have no idea what that is, but any discussion will have to go on the non-HL Discussion thread!

Here's an article about the stunning light-show production for the recent tour which Simon posted a link to on their facebook page - http://www.live-production.tv/news/show ... actor.html

A couple of shows on BBC Four tomorrow night that you might want to watch; Top of the Pops - The story of 1983 and Big Hits 1983 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b087lmbd
& http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b087lmbg

I don't know if the League will be featured but there is a reference to the League and Heaven 17's respective appearances performing Fascination and Temptation on the 1,000th edition of the show in May in the first link above so we might get some insight about how divided the bands were at that point. These shows are always excellent with lots of intriguing behind-the scenes stories :)

A naked Philip Oakey?

"One of the first plans for The Human League was I would be on stage naked in body paint on a large branch like (German artist) Veruschka.''

From this:

http://www.sundayworld.com/style/fashio ... d-struggle

Sunday World is a trashy Irish Newspaper that I wouldn't buy in a month of Sundays.

A little follow-up to my message re TOTP - the story of 1983. There was a brief interview with Martyn Ware in which he mentioned that there were "furtive looks down the corridor" during the recording of the show. He also said that there was tension between the two groups but it appears that they managed to avoid any confrontation/meeting. He was quite softly-spoken about it and there was some brief clips of the two groups performing their songs.

I don't see the point in having a Human League interview in English with a German commentary over the top of it, why? I tried to listen but gave up after about ten minutes.

Yes but why speak in German over the top of the interview, surely mute the English and dub into German and provide the German commentary in suitable gaps.

The page has been removed by the organisers, but Google's cache doesn't forget:

Tickets on sale Friday, apparently.

You had already banned the troll, so that wouldn't appear to have been an issue any more.

Happy late New Year. And newbie greeting to all. Firstly just want to say what a great night I had at the Nottingham gig in December. A night to remember for sure. Secondly do THL ever give us mere mortals the chance to remix any of their past/present songs.

It's extremely well done but not really to my taste. Interesting to see that other people continue to use samples of HL songs to hang their music onto, says something about the quality of the original songs I think.
