Listening to an interview with Joe Elliott (from hard/pop rockers Def Leppard) talking to Eddie Trunk (American Heavy Metal TV / Radio presenter), talking about the influence of David Bowie. Nice little mention of his influence on bands like THL amongst other early 80's pop. (But shouldn't it have been THL's influence on David??)

How cool was that on Sunday evening at around 7.40pm

During 'Forgotten 80s' in the 'Didn't we almost have it all' section, looking outside the top 40 featured earlier that day for March 1981 a large amount of people selected The Human League with 'Boys and Girls'. =D Really didn't expect to hear that again on the radio, I wonder if anyone here contacted the show via facebook and twitter to request it???

I think that Boys And Girls is underrated by many, would love to hear it live on the Winter Tour, chances anyone?

The studio where Sun Hill was filmed was in South Wimbledon - when Lou's parents first came over for a visit I had to drive them all past it. They would often film around Mitcham / Morden / Sutton. I saw an old episode the other day - took me right back!

Claire Grogan is on Vintage TV with'My Vintage' (playing her fave songs)

I didn't expect her to say that she used to hang around with Siouxsie & The Banshees and various other bands but they never really used to speak to each other, she thinks they were all socially inept because they were so young etc.... then she said the main band she hung out with but never really spoke to were THL, and how much they write perfect pop songs and how amazing DARE is! So that was quite exciting to hear then she ruined it all by calling DYWM "Don't you want me BABY" !!!! Argh!!!! She should know better!!!

Agreed! There's just something very appealing about her.

Just to pour cold water on that thought Freud's theories about psycho-sexuality are now widely discounted by psychologists, of course they could all be in denial!

octopus, Clare might just have mistaken you for a chair?

And I'm with JJ on coping.

I didn't expect Mrs. JJ to call me into the room this evening as she's watching a drama thing called The A Word, and on the show for there to be a little boy sitting in the backseat of the car singing "You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar..." his Mum telling him to be quiet, then he pipes up with "The Human League, 1981."

Well ok, not THL but...great to hear Together in Electric Dreams in the Aussie drama "Offspring", used as a wedding dance tune, apparently it sent the song up the iTunes charts here...

The closing bars of DYWM when I switched on my car radio, but then it was tuned into the Abs 80s radio station. Though this might have been a plug but nothing was said about Anthology so not.
