Cover versions

I think cover versions should have their own thread:

Nice one, just like Phil said in Brugge 2006 about Sparky who "danced" during Neosupervital.

On the DYWM theme. They might be camper than a row of tents, but I quite like Alcazar's cover verson of DYWM. With their bloke and two birds combo, it is actually quite respectful to the original. Worth a listen if you havent heard it before.

Ruined by an over the top video. Which is so camp it makes Steps look like Metallica :(

Unfortunately (or is it fortunately?) the lovely Annikafiore Kjaergaard's vocals are not a patch on Susan's, (so who says our Sooz cant sing? ;))

EDIT: More info courtesy of Panzer's detailed "Cover Library"(see next post):

I've said it before but anyway Alcazar's version of DYWM is the best cover of a Human League song ever. I Love It. Some great mixes of it too.

However I approve of this one:

"Together In Electric Dreams" - Lali Puna (be warned, it sounds very different to the original)

Thanks for the link but that is quite possibly THE worst cover of a League song that I've ever heard.

Interesting cover of DYWM from the soundtrack to the Secret Life of Walter Mitty remake.

Interesting cover of Darkness, not the worst cover of a League song I've ever heard.

The resemblance is striking and the randomness of dancing is somewhat familiar too ;-)
