Managed to get 2nd row tickets via the alt-tickets link. Ticketmaster let me choose front row but then froze for ages so I tried again, got 4th row and started booking them when I checked the other link on my boyfriends laptop, and got 2nd! Too much stress for this time of the morning, haha!

2nd row booked just after 9am 29/1 - hectic linking a non expired plastic on TM before timeout.......school boy (or girl) error :)

Will be 13 years since I was at The Dome & saw them live.

I see that support includes Blancmange for this gig, although everywhere else it's just Ekkoes.

I saw Blancmange support Paul Young (don't ask). They were great, so much better than PY, but that was hardly a surprise.
Well who's that shouting? John, ex-Moderator - all he ever gives us is pain!

Hoping for a good evening.

Hope band & crew have/had a safe trip "down south".....

An excellent evening, (all 3 bands).' THL encore performance probably topped it for me.'

Loitering around back stage doors is not familiar territory, but (as my car was parked close-by), I took opportunity to briefly thank Phil Susan & Jo for a great show.

Enough of this small hours typing ..... need sleep now as new kitchen worktops being fitted later today.

I was at the gig last night - I've been (am) ill and was worried I'd have to miss it, but I persevered and am so glad I went :) Being a seated gig definitely helped sway my decision - no way I could have coped in a squashed standing crowd!

Anyway.....Blancmange were brilliant again. Their sound is so powerful live - I definitely need to get some of their early albums.
THL were fantastic but I felt the crowd were a bit quiet and it was lacking in atmosphere...but on talking to others afterwards, they had a completely different perspective, saying the crowd were brilliant so I think it's just where we were - 2nd row, yay....but LOTS of people in the front row kept sitting down on any song that wasn't a massive hit!!! I was getting really annoyed - do these people not realise they're allowed to enjoy and dance to songs they're not already familiar with????? Anyway.... the crowd were on their feet from the beginning (I might have been first to stand up...as usual ;) ) which is always a good thing. There was quite a gap between the front row and the stage and towards the end (on Mirror Man IIRC), the security moved and let everyone pile down there to dance. It was brilliant!!! :D

Roll on Tuesday in London....hopefully I'm feeling a lot better by then!

Sounds like Glasgow, front row sat down, then half stood up and those in front of me, I was also in 2nd Row all sat right until the very last song, even then 2 or 3 didn't move of their bottoms! Why go if you are just going to sit there like a lemon.
Hope your feeling better soon ED.
