According to Martyn:

We'll not be touring the BEF show - it's a one off not to be missed

We will be touring Luxury Gap next year - but not in 3D sound

Well, if there's no Gary Glitter or Bernie Nolan then there's no point in going.......

(I might go)

Gary Glitter will obviously never happen and I would imagine that Kim Wilde will sing You Keep Me Hanging On.

Great gig last night. Luxury Gap was brilliant and we also got the obvious Being Boiled but the bonuses were HL versions of Loving Feeling and TBHOS. Those YouTube videos did not do it justice last time, if you were there it's hard to argue that it's not sounding amazing and Martyn is so right to play it. I'm not opening that debate again but they really could do some serious justice to the old HL catalogue.

Superb show last night, it really was a celebration of Martyn's work since the beginning. The sound was a little too loud and distorted at the start but that was fixed quickly. The band looked as if they were genuinely enjoying themselves.

Wow! 3 HL songs now in their set? Awesome! Would love to hear TBHOS. I guess that makes them the second best live act after HL ;)

YLTLF isn't a new thing for H17 to do live. When they did a gig back in the late 90s somewhere Leicester Sq they played it. I remember thinking how great it sounded.
Well who's that shouting? John, ex-Moderator - all he ever gives us is pain!

I was at the gig on Saturday night at shepherds bush and must say that they were excellent! YLTLF gave me goosebumps, Martyn has such a great voice and if you closed your eyes it was like listening to the album track.
Really enjoyed listening to crow and a baby, although I was slighltly miffed at the end when it was mentioned that it was a Human league song and Martyn quipped 'that was when they were good' but I am sure he was joking especially when Glenn said 'you cant say that' to cheers from the crowd - and some boos!
Glenn also performed a short accoustic version of DYWM- the first verse and Matryn insisted that he give us a chorus - and then we all joined in.
Their final song was Being boiled and then an encore of Party fears two by the associates - a beautiful version might I add as a tribute to Billy McKenzie, and then finally another stirring rendition of Temptation which had been played earlier as part of the Luxury Gap album. All in all a great concert and so good to hear those early league songs live.

I saw a THL covers band last night.....called Heaven 17 ;)

They done Black Hit of Space, A Crow And A Baby, You've Lost That Loving Feeling (actually, that was amazing!!!) and Being Boiled (fast version). Now I'm a bit torn about them doing so many THL songs but I guess I'm never gonna hear these songs live any other way, and Martin was involved with those (and they do sound great live)

They also done a Bowie cover, which makes me question how a headline band with their own back catalogue need to play 5 cover versions in their set.
I did enjoy them though :)
