I note it's as incorrectly named as the Tour of the Universe was. :/

Honestly not that bothered about seeing them live these days, seeing as their live shows are rock shows with Dave shouting, unlike their still magnificent studio stuff. Would I have gone to see them if they came here? Definitely. Am I really that bothered that I can't? Nope.
Well who's that shouting? John, ex-Moderator - all he ever gives us is pain!

Was that 'Angel' that you heard? Jaysus I thought it was awful.

No Dublin gig this time around and to be honest it's no great loss. They've become at bit 'meh' over the last couple of albums.

Sorry Panzer, I too also have to disagree... the new song sounds like yet *another* slow boring dirge. Preceding another album of slow sleep inducing turds, I suspect. Although I sincerely hope I'm incorrect. Why can't they do more stuff like "I Feel Loved" - now THAT was a great single.

I agree Angel is not excactly their most inspired song ever, but I like the production. It got a gritty and energetic sound, especially as it picks up midway through. Love the deep bass sound as well. Gore has described the sound of the new album as a hybrid between Violator and SOFAD and mentioned there's 3 or 4 songs that is up there with the best of their work, so I have high hopes.

Well I would love nothing more than to be surprised with a great DM album, but they've released so much disappointing material in recent years I think it's fair to have low expectations...and if the new album is a hybrid between Violator and SOFAD does that mean they're mimicking Wilder's production sound...? Doubt it. But I would hope to be "Wrong" (no pun intended). I still think your DM bar is awesome BTW!

How bloody typical is this. When the tour dates came out I thought hmmm...the London ones are around the same date as the Play Off Final. As it happens they are the two days immediately after. But I'm only in the UK for not even two days, as I have to get back for work, so I can't go to the DM gig. Ho hum...

I'm consistently "impressed" by DM's "world tours"...apparently the "world" consists of Europe and North America. They haven't been to Australia since SOFAD.

JJ - maybe your flight could be "cancelled" ;-)

I was at the London gig last night. I won tickets (hurrah) which was nice, as I'd decided not to buy them as I'm not too fussed about the last couple of albums.

I'm so glad I got to see them though - the gig itself was brilliant (even sitting up in the roof of the O2 Arena) and the setlist was a big surprise. Tempted to go in November now ;)

They are getting great reviews from both press and fans and are mixing up the performance more on this tour. Can't wait for Copenhagen on the 13th :)

Got tickets for the second gig here in Denmark on their 2013 tour - this time close to home, soooo....both my boys (9 and 14 yo) will attend, which will be the first time I'm forcin...bringing them to hear some of "my" music - youngest one is ecstatic about it, the older one is more "hmm" - anyone with same experiences? advices?

Expect to be disappointed by their reactions and laugh at their comments ......
eg first time in 2007 taking my then 6 year old to see THL (with ABC, bananarama, Tony Hadley, Go West) It pissed down with rain ALL DAY. It was discussed here http://humanleagueforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26%20This%20was%20the%20thread "back in the day" when we had 3 pages of anticipation and post gig reaction :/
The thing I didn't mention was that I managed to get my lad right to the front rail about 2 minutes before THL came on (hoping he would stay there with me looking after him) but instead he said "Yeah that's the stage can we go back and find mum now" Much to my dissappointment

My laughter was after watching top gear the other week when James May compared the new London bus to Phil Oakey's hairstyle. My now 12 year old said "I don't get it. How does that bus resemble his hairstyle.

Bloody hell. Depeche Mode were magnificent tonight. I thought the setlist was fantastic and the Delta Machine tracks came alive tonight. Only 1 low point for me was the horrible 'Child Inside'. The rest was amazing. Best Mode gig I've been to in many, many years. The acoustic 'Shake The Disease' was a highlight. Wasn't expecting too much after the 'SOTU' gig but tonight certainly made up for that. Go see if they come your way! Superb.

I managed to get half price (balcony) seats for half price for the Leeds gig on Weds. Taking my partner and his daughter who have always wanted to see them, so i can't wait :) Glad to hear you enjoyed it CS15!

Really did Pauline.

We were standing and were pretty much at the front of the stage. It's a long time since I felt such a buzz from an audience. People were going nuts. Felt very celebratory. Hope Leeds is as good. Tip for you - don't bother with the support 'The Jezables'. They were dire.

Bit harsh Panzer, my home town, Kingswood Bristol, isn't the most exciting place, but I wouldn't call it a shithole!

Good for you Subhuman, but have you been to Herning? If so, you would know what I mean ;)

It's like they've been revitalised or something isn't it? I've seen them 6 or 7 times now and honestly think apart from the few early 80's gigs that this one was the best. Top form!
