Just the awful nature of coincidence JJ, plus not seeing DM. Still you wouldn't have missed seeing Palace win for all the tea in China, would you?

I'm seeing Kraftwerk for the first time this week and am scheduled to do a review of the show. What background information should I be sure to include in my review? Suggestions much appreciated!

made me smile when you said, with a pleasing turn of phrase...

These four spry, aging men, in their droll jumpsuits and rubber loafers, have returned to the here and now to show us all how the future was supposed to be.

Good review which reads well, thanks for sharing! ;)

This is the only Kraftwerk thread I could find to let you know that there is a documentary about them on BBC 4 this Friday January 30th at 10pm. They will be showing exclusive tracks from their Tate Modern shows as well as rare archive footage :) More info here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b050rbz ... a&ns_fee=0

I went to see Wolfgang Flur on Friday.... Now I'm not a massive KW fan (aye, I know what they done for electronic music, I've had that lecture several times ;) ) but my boyfriend is so I decided to go with him to a solo show, which had been advertised as him 'live' and wasn't cheap...

He played in a smallish venue in Hoxton, it was totally rammed and everyone was looking forward to the gig. Then he came onstage and played some music (mostly boring techno), not really as a DJ, more of playing some songs!! He had some visuals behind him, mainly KW stuff but also Dusseldorf tourism and him marching around being a 'Musik Soldat' (music soldier), along with some so bad it was good, dad dancing on stage!

Of those I spoke to at the end, 50% loved it (he can do no wrong) and 50% were really disappointed as they were expecting a gig.

I had a look around on YouTube but could only seem to find lots of 'foreign language' uploads (e.g. German, Spanish) which is a bit disappointing to say the least! =(

That's odd Sarah I managed to find a few Kraftwerk live gigs where bits of some of the songs were in English:-

Yeah, and they have included a date in Dublin at a small 2,000 seated venue called the Board Gais Energy Theatre. Really surprised at them playing such a small venue. Can see this selling out very quickly. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Have you seen them before, P? They're the loudest gigs I've ever been to - bass felt like it was going to rip my heart to pieces.

No chance of a Liverpool ticket here. Goodness knows why they're playing a poxy little venue like the Philharmonic, they could sell out the arena several times over.

I saw them at Brixton Academy years ago. Loved the show, but found it frustrating as Dave and I were dancing, but the crowd were so still and beard scratchy!! Folk even got annoyed when I walked through the crowd ONCE, to go to the toilet!!

This is gonna be a different experience, really looking forward to it :)
