This is an interesting tweet from Alison Moyet when asked about the Yazoo reunion:

@TMG1297 Nothing in the pipeline though the live material has been mixed and we are talking about releasing it as a live album. It's good x

Might we get a dvd release also?

Even THL got their live stuff out quicker than this, and we thought they were bloody slow!

Alison Moyet is releasing a new Best Of and cd2 will feature new takes on old songs. Midnight is featured and a small clip is available to listen to here:

http://soundcloud.com/alisonmoyet/midnight-revisited-version-clip

Be warned! It's NOT good. Nothing without Vince's electronics. Very amateurish.

Matt Pop has done another excellent remix of a Yazoo track:

Niels, did you manage to get one of your questions answered by Alison Moyet?

Also, you can hear the whole of Nobody's Diary live from the new box set at the Yazoo and AMCO sites.

Bloody hell, I had such a good time on that tour. Genuine dream-come-true stuff for me!! I just remembered the panic I had when the second London date was announced/went on sale when I was mid-air flying to Sydney in February 2008, only to turn my mobile on after landing and it virtually melted under all the text messages, then just to hear that Pauline (God bless you forever my dear!!!) had sorted a ticket out for me. Phew! Good Times...

After all this time we might finally be able to work out what the lyrics are!

...but does this mean those of us that are forking out for the boxed version need to buy it all again on iTunes just for this one track...?

I should imagine so. The newsletter says it's on iTunes pre orders, so I assume it'll get taken off the track list after the release date as well.
Arseing about on the internet since 1995...

I love Yazoo, they are very, very high in my list of favourite bands, short lived yes, but what a punch they gave!
And both their albums feature in my all time top 20.

I am also a huge fan of Vince and Alison seperately and have followed them both into their seperate careers...Alison is my favourite female singer, I love her voice...although I must say I am not always keen with her own jazz loves.
Vince is so underrated as a musician, he's brilliant in all aspects of what he does.
I remember when he left Depeche Mode and I didn't think much of it then as I was just a boy (he was the keyboard player, and I was being turned by Marc Almond and Soft Cell) but jeez, hasn't he proven himself?...I adore Erasure, such clever, sharp, electro pop (with edge, thanks Andy) what an immence talent Great Britain has got.

I was so glad to see the recent 'Reconnected' tour and following live album, how happy are we Yazoo lovers? and who knows, maybe they'll click.......and write together again, and we'll get that 3rd album we all know they could have and should have made...attitudes of those 80s teens. hahaha
I'm playing 'Upstairs At Erics' (otherwise known as 'Downstairs With Susan' amongst my friends)

All hail Yazoo.
