Popped by the Duran official website to check some information and dropped by the fan forum to find that you need to pay a yearly fee to the Duran 'fan club' in order to view or join the forum. Never heard of any band doing this before. What a bloody swizzzzzzzzzzz :(

This looks like a good release to nab a copy of when it comes out in September...

Just how many times and in how many formats has Rio been released in? I love it but enough is enough.

Great, I like the first album, would be good if they release vinyl versions of these too, like they have just done with Rio.

The first album remaster sounds awful, there is a terrible fault at the start of Girls On Film where the track appears to start 3 times over!

It's a crying shame as the packaging is lovely, the DVD is great, the bonus tracks (especially the vocal of Tel Aviv, basically a completely different song) are great. The main album though is shoddy beyond belief for a major label release.

I'm guessing you don't mean the repeated sound of the camera. :)

I put my thoughts about 'Duran Duran' and 'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' in postings 110 and 113 of this thread http://www.humanleagueforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?pid=27032#p27032 and personally thought the sound quality of these remasters was perfectly fine and didn't notice the repeating 'Girls On Film' to which you (DJ Ian Aitch) are referring to.

No :)

The sound of the camera effect drops out, fades in, drops out again, then comes back. It sounds diabolical.
It's not a question of brickwalling / remaster volume, it's a ghastly mistake that everyone else I know has commented on with horror.

I expect it sounds even worse on headphones, but even through standard speakers it was so noticeable I can't believe anyone at EMI listened to these discs before okaying them, unless there was just a faulty batch that everyone on the New Wave Outpost or Amazon, bar Sarah, got.
