Excellent find Sarah, I've just received the new single Hidden Sign from Amazon, you know the one they think is an album. Sounds very good so far, I'm listening as I type. So refreshing to get singles released on cd and vinyl.

Another CD single coming up http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shes-Electric-Coming-Around-Visage/dp/B00LXLQNS8/ref=pd_sim_m_h__4?ie=UTF8&refRID=1WM6P90TQADZCG55RH40 but more tatilisingly is the mention, in the product description that 'Visage are currently 'planning and writing their fifth album'... bring it on!!! =D

Yes I am interested - might buy.

If you want a laugh, check out the Facebook thread where Visage announce they are making the Fade to Grey sound threads available for download... oh my!

Got my copy of 'Orchestral' yesterday, listened to it this morning and very impressed and delighted with the 60 min CD! =D

However it is not a live gig like the YouTube might have led people to believe. It is more like a 'standard studio album' with no audience participation/feedback. The sound is marvellously crisp and clear, synths blend marvellously with the orchestra, particularly string section and Steve's vocals have never been better. I can very much recommend it to all you guys here on this forum!!! =D =D =D

I was looking forward to this collection.
A lot of Visage songs would suit the Orchestra treatment, personally i think Steve Strange chose them wisely...these songs work very well and they've made a great record, as said by Sarah...the synths sound amazing and are mixed well with the orchestral parts.

I bought mine from the Visage website as i wanted the remix CD in the bundle pack :-)

Here's looking forward to the next Visage album.....

I have that edition as well....i was so annoyed they added tracks that do NOT belong to the era... a stupid move...
They should have added 'Der Amboss' 'The Pleasure Boys' 7" and 12" 'The Anvil Dance Mix' =(

I'm thinking Polydor (or whoever owns it now) stopped them?

The Anvil = one of the BEST electronic albums EVER!

I also have the Cherry Records reissue of 'The Anvil' and highly rate it. I remember when it originally came out in 1982 I bought it on vinyl and the cover had an unusual texture to it. :)

It is a great shame that there is no reissue for the self titled debut album and given the same lavish care and attention that The Anvil has had. =(

Very sad. Still remember a birthday party of his that I somehow ended up going to with ED and Pauline. In fact the white cube light that we were given as a gift turned up in my garage only last week.

I'm Still Searching off the Night Train 12" is definitely my favourite Visage track of all. I thought they were a bit hit and miss, but when they were good they were very very good.

Also enjoyed those appearances he did as part of the Here & Now shows, even though it was pretty clear the years had taken their toll.

It's such a shame as Hearts and Knives showed that creatively he had got his act back together.

Shocked and sad about that news. Despite the intervening years between 'Beat Boy' and 'Hearts and Knives' it just shows that the creative skill in musical composition and band image still beats as vibrantly strong and appealing as ever. I think there was far more to come but cruel tragedy that further potential material will now no longer be possible. =( =(

Gosh, I can't remember it being a birthday bash - how did we get into that?? And the light rings a bell, but I think mine broke ages ago. Was that the night he said he wanted to adopt me and Tracy then??
