The weather thread

Bloody hell. We're at the outlaws for a BBQ and at 3.30pm it was 46C in the shade (that's 115F in English money). At the SCG for the Ashes the temperature out in the middle was measured at 55C (131F).

Discuss all things 'weather' here.

I could NOT survive in that heat. No sireee. Spain at 28c to 32c is great when you can dip in and out of the pool every hour or so but to work and live in 46c heat. No!

-4c in Dublin last night and that’s just fine by me.

For the second day in a row I got woken up by a big thunder storm at about 4.30am. Seeing as I get up just after 5, that's a pain in the arse.

And I got the temperature at the SCG wrong - it actually went up to 57C, not 55C. It was the hottest ever temperature recorded in Australia during a cricket test match. No wonder Joe Root ended up in hospital.

How could they even play in that heat? I know 100% I could not live in Australia.

New Zealand would be better, although not the west side of the South Island where you get an amazing quantity of rain.

Astonished to see this thread but then I guess we all enjoy moaning about the weather!

Sunday was a total wash out here in Southampton, don't think it stopped raining all day, very depressing =( , closed the curtains to shut it out around 4.30pm. Weather forecast was pretty much spot on for Monday, and, seizing the opportunity I was out cycling for the day taking the 'seaside route' of Hythe, Calshot, Lepe, Exbury and Beaulieu then back via Lyndhurst. Raining for about an hour and a half but cleared up when I reached Hythe marina where I paused briefly looking out over the water with my binoculars. Basking in the warm sunshine down on sandy Lepe beach was definitely a highlight of the 51 mile cycle, the first for about seven weeks... boy did it feel good to get out there peddling once more!!! =D

Glad to hear you're out and about Sarah.

Here in Honolulu it's nice and sunny - mid 80s F. Even when it rains here it's sunny. Shame we're on a midday flight home rather than 9 o'clock, but I'm glad we're not on a Trident.... ;)
