I have got caught up in the emotion of it all over the last few years, I will admit!!! My partner and all of his family are Sheffield United fans. Besides me now being an honorary fan, I can't handle the misery in our house when they lose (him and his son), so it's best that they win!! ;-)

I know, but it would have been a shame if they'd won that way.

Yyaaahhoooooooooo!!! So chuffed, and now living in a happy household ;-) Next game for me is the last on if the season. I might streak on the pitch.

There were a couple of really strange results at the weekend that did nothing to change the positions of the teams involved. Although amazed by the championship result of Norwich 7 - Reading 1, it was astonishing to look further down the 'football pyramid' to the National League where Tranmere crushed new boys Solihull Moores 9-0, the losing manager reporting to press that he feels very lonely now.

Baring something amazing happening we should see the expected couple of teams joining Doncaster to be promoted from League Two I think fairly soon now. Should be a rather tasty exciting game between Plymouth and Portsmouth on Good Friday!

No as I don't think Pauline has the slightest interest in League Two!

Hahaha!! We've been in League One for 6 years now, and I'm definitely not a football snob!

As for me streaking, pigs might fly!! (A similar sight, I'd imagine!)

Arsenal play well at times, they just lack enough killer instinct. Oh and their defence isn't much better than Liverpool's IMHO.

Fat Sam seems to be doing something good with Palace, okay so it took a while and he's unlikely to ever get them playing like Bayern Munich or Barcelona. but you have to give Palace ten out of ten for effort.

A very good day for the south coast yesterday with Brighton securing promotion to the premier league for the first time 34 years. Just the small matter now of getting a win over Norwich on Friday to go up as Championship champions!

Lower down Plymouth and Portsmouth join already promoted Doncaster by going up to League One. The former team did it with some style with an impressive 6-1 win.

Even Eastleigh, just outside the football league got a win and secured there position in the top non league for another season.

Edited for accuracy. Br*ghton scumbags have never been in the Premier League.

Old Division 1, yes. Premier League, no.

Interesting that Brighton and probably Newcastle, both areas that voted Remain in the referendum, are going up, while three of Hull/Middlesbrough/Swansea/Sunderland, who all voted Leave, are getting relegated. Meanwhile, the top 7 in the Premier League all represent areas that voted Remain.

Random but interesting observation there :)

If only we could do the business against the utter shite, we would be champions.

Another great result for the 'utter shite', then! ;) That's 3 wins in a row for Palace at Anfield now.

With 10 games to go and in the bottom 3 and still having to play all the top 6 I really thought we were doomed. But we've now beaten Chelsea and Liverpool away plus Arsenal at home for 9 very unexpected but also very welcome points.

I don't know if you were there or have seen the game Danny, but I had to watch it on LFC TV. Have to say I was pretty impressed - I understand that with their target audience they need to be biased in favour of their own team. But compared to the morons at Chelsea/Manure/Arsenal TV I thought they were pretty even and gave a good balanced commentary.

My dream scenario now is that Palace are safe, and we go to Old Trafford last game of the season and win to deny them a Champions League place. To coin Kevin Keegan's phrase, I'd absolutely love that!

BTW, great to see that Barnet are comfortably safe in mid-table - hope they can kick on a bit next year.

Also hope Sheffield Utd can win their last game and hit the 100 points mark. Incidentally P, ask your other half if he was at Wembley in 97 for the play off final against Palace. (I was - in fact "Hopkin, looking to curl one!!" is the best individual moment I've ever had as a Palace fan... :))

I watched it on TV (Sky). I wasn't even surprised by the result. It's getting to the point where I expect us to beat the big teams and lose to relegation battlers.

Liverpool fans as a rule tend to be a little more magnanimous than most, so it doesn't surprise me that LFCTV's commentary wasn't as rabid as some. Critics may say that this is indicative of the organisation as a whole, missing the mean streak that is often an ingredient of success on the field.

I just hope Palace play that well at Old Trafford!
