The answer to the question re. 2 x 100 goals is Palace of course! Clinton Morrisson and Dougie Freedman, both still regularly in the team, and both with over 100 goals for Palace.

@ Gary - the only one I can think of that did 3 of them was Andrei Kanchelskis (he didn't play for Liverpool).

Peter Beardsley was signed by Man Utd in 82/83 playing one league cup game; 87/91 for Liverpool played 131 games; 91/93 Everton played 81 games and was on loan to Man City 98 and played 6 games...easy!!!! lol

JJ,
Great recent result for Liverpool and what about Newcastle! Fortunately Bristol Rovers current form is improving, hope they beat Fulham.

"hill, hudson, hills, and halls,..hills and halls"
"hill, hudson, hills, and halls,..hills and halls"

Fabulous game, and I'm really pleased Liverpool won. I hope they win the whole thing. They're a proper club with proper fans, not plastic like Manure.

You should try being there! I felt physically sick as Gerrard waited to take that pen. Pepe Reina was looking at the fans in our (Anfield Road) end; he couldn't even watch.

Here's hoping we do the Chavs for the third time in four years... I've always fancied going to Russia ;)

Arsenal got cheated on that penalty - that said, Liverpool deserved to win.

...and now there's more Champions League football - wooohoooo - don't know if I should watch Barcelona - Schalke or Man - Roma!!!!!!????

As usual, the fans are put through the emotional mincer by LFC.
20 minutes in I thought we were gonna get murdered and the 1st goal just a matter of time.
Hyypia's majestic header was unbelievably pin-point from so far out.
At 2-2 I had my head in my hands thinking that was it.
The pen wasn't 'stonewall', but not unexpected in a european game. Gerrard was cool as anything.
I was glad Babel got the 4th, otherwise Mr Wenger might have been a bit bitter about things . . . What? Oh! He was anyway, never mind :)

Riise the villain again - should be on his way out of LFC!
Sammi Hyypia twice cheated - a harsh penalty against him, then not given one when he was fouled in the box.
Ref had a good game, but poor in extra time, and where did ONE minute come from??
Good luck against Manure in the final!

As a crystal palace lifer it pains me to say it, moan-united look like the organised team that drove them on to victory back in 1999. winning the champions league cup needs a bit more then playing pretty football..and out of the 2 id take moan u for the way they can defend!

i dont care really who wins:) ..the real game this weekend is in the championship this sunday at selhurst park!!!:)

I'm very disappointed that Liverpool lost. Although I think the ref got the penalty given against Hyypia right, he got it badly wrong when Hyypia was fouled in the box - it was a very similar challenge to the one when he had the pen given against him, it was a foul, and a clear penalty.

But it's destiny with these things. Chelsea won the league after a 50 year gap, just like ManUre will (unfortunately) win the CL final 50 years after Munich. That's just how things happen in football, isn't it.

Changing clubs back to "proper" football (i.e. Palace), this weekend sees my last game as a Palace season ticket holder, which will be a sad occasion for me....and I have to leave just after half time!! I'm VERY pissed off about that, but I have to get to Heathrow for 5pm for a flight.

oooh, the silence from you Brits, just because your sad team didn't make it - I bet you still watch it, don't you?

So who will win - my guess is Holland.

Anyone saw the Austria vs Germany soccer girls prematch? no? click here: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=73d_1213619117 (contains nudity).

I haven't watched much of it Stig, I've been out and about on the Yazoo tour. I don't think I've seen even one complete match so far. Of the bits I've seen, Holland were impressive, but still look a bit suspect defensively so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win it. Not that I care who does, mind you!

Oh, I've seen every single match so far - pure enjoyment as Denmark isn't part, so no nail biting and dissapointments.
