Wow, has anyone noticed how many folks are registering on this forum since the tour been announced?

Yes, and I've been keeping an eye on it, because a number of them are spam-type registrations so have been instantly banned.
Well who's that shouting? John, ex-Moderator - all he ever gives us is pain!

Oh ok, but are most of those recently are spam or people with a keen interest in the Human League?

A bit of both, but there are a reasonably large number of the former looking at some of the names.

600 have zero posts - most of them are just auto spammers. add to that the number of banned users + the number of users who's not using the board anymore.

If you sort the userlist by 'No. of Post' and scientifically decide 3-4 posts are "valid" users - even including some of the previous flamers, we are roughly 350...and that's even high.

So, no - we are a looong way from a thousand users! :)

Ok well that puts it into statistical perspective. But since someone signs up and doesn't post, doesn't mean they don't come to this site and read what's going on. Possibly some people have good intentions to post, but don't know what to say! ;) :p

True, and thankfully there are new genuine users signing up, but try check some of newer usernames + the sign-up dates, check some of the signature links too, and you'll notice many of them are just pure spam crap.

Don't forget that the vast majority of visitors to this forum are read-only lurkers...

And some may have trouble registering if my experiences are anything to go by, although I must say that the old forum was even worst in that department.

Bloody hell! How can I be first on that list? And by the way only half of my posts are about G.O.D.

Have another look at the member list now Kevin. Sort it by Registered and Descending, and see how many on that first page are banned for being (suspected) spam, and you'll see what we mean.

Intresting stuff when you start looking at it...

Four figures of posts Top 8
Triple " " 1st Page
Two " 2nd Page
Single Posts 7th Page
The rest....................New or Banned Members mostly.

Also many members with the word Human n the name but apart from me you have to go to page 4 to start to find them!

Sorry I obviously had too much time on my hands tonight! : )

Another new member here. I've been a fan from way back, but only gotten to see The Human League for my first time at Guilfest this weekend. I loved the whole of the two days I did at Guilfest this year, lots of very talented acts on - but for me the highlight of the show was The Human League. Absolutely phenomenal!

Hi all!
Another new member here, deffo not a spammer, though i'm not sure how often i'll post as i seem to spend the majority of my online time on an unrelated(?)* music forum since '07.
I'm a definite fan of HL though and favour the older stuff mostly (pre- Susan and Joanne, except the unbeatable 'Dare' of course). I loved the live DVD however, and am really looking forward to the new LP and singles.
To my shame, i have never seen the band live, but hope to rectify that!
Anyway, 'Hello!'

*the 'mirror man'?

Hello to you too, schwarzerpunkt, and welcome! I'm sure you're aware by now if you've looked around the forum that there is a tour which starts in just under 2 months, and therefore your opportunity for recitification is at hand! :)
