Chat-room

Postby JJ » Wed Jun 27, 2007 9:29 pm

Just to let anyone know that wants to, the chat room on the old forum is still actually there and working. I can't imagine many will use it because you can't exactly see if there's anyone in it from here. But it is still there.

LINK.

May I suggest that if anyone wants to get a group going on the old chat room you use this thread to say you're heading over there as a temporary resource, and I'll go through and delete the "I'm going to the chat room" and most other posts the following day or whenever to keep this thread both as tidy and as up to date as possible.

Info - if you are NOT logged in, it suggests you should type in EMAIL and PASSWORD. Email is WRONG - it's your old BOARD NAME.

Nah wrong incident. It was the one about the one eyed fish monger called Doris with a fancy for Danish bacon.

Chrissie, it's the chat room from the old forum. If you weren't registered on there then I suspect you couldn't use it anyway.

As per the first message, please use this thread to say if you're going over there, and then I'll do a tidy up and delete the posts in this thread on a regular basis.

Chrissy was a member on the old board as well - with the same board name.

We should set day/evening/time - instead of people feeling sad sods alone in the room for hours! Sunday evening?

I was chatting with Stevie last night, it was ok for about 20 mins but then crashed and wouldn't work after that. I think that's what other people have experienced too.

Does nobody use the chat room? :( It would be nice to chat to people live :) - but it does not seem to be overly used, or is it down(?) Ive been able to access it quite quickly.

After readin as many of the threads and topics I can I presume lots of topics are mainly from people who go back a long way virtual friendship wise, and lots have developed in-common friendships via this site, or even met at gigs.

I dont know how to get to know people better on this site, because I havent been to a League gig in yonks and you obviously know about my SB gig (which I did find other people had posted comments on their SB gig experiences in another thread - I am learning...honest lol).

I probably find that I end up posting something thats already been exhausted, so dont get the interest or banter going.

Maybe I need more practise at this lol ;)

Hiya

A lot of people on the forum have met over the years at gigs, but a lot of it is just knowing each other online too, so don't be afraid to join in conversations etc :)

As for the chat room, I haven't been in for a very long time. The board is more alive when the band are touring so it may get used more then.

Hi! :)

Thanks for your reply.

It makes sense that things would quieten down alittle if the band are quiet themselves.
