What a good idea, I wonder why are antipodean friends didn't get there first, are they in hibernation? =D

Facebook is a work of the devil, even governments are waking up to the evil that is Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. ;)

Righto.
Anyway, to ensure this thread doesn't go off the rails into off-topic territory, there is a good fan-based HL page (I <3 The Human League) on Facebook that quite a few folk from here contribute to, and many a hidden gem pops up on.... =D

The trouble is there are a number of fan-based HL pages none of which get much traffic from what I can see, be more specific please. I have used Facebook in the past but I'm not a big fan of it's poorly structured layout. Plus I object to having my likes and dislikes passed on to advertisers. Facebook is a cash cow for Shluckenberg in my opinion.

It's a closed group so it may not come up in a search. I only knew about it because fb friends from here were posting to it.

Trying something a bit 'left of field'... Although we know from the song that he was a people fan just who was the Mirror Man? Does the video give us any idea or is the clue in the lyrics? Just a bit of fun really! :p

Makes sense, but how is the Adam Ant story fits into this? I'm sure I've heard the same story as Crowbaby?

Adam Ant sounds like the sort of story that Philip might have told as a joke.

From Panzer's site:

“It is actually about Adam Ant. It’s not anti Adam Ant and we didn’t want to offend him,
but he was having to respond to his public more than was good for him.”

I've just been digesting the news of the attack on the Manchester Arena, we ought to pause to reflect that as concert goers any of us or are friends could have been caught up in something like this, but it's important that we don't change our way of life because then the sick people who did this will have won.

Neil Sutton...... Replaced.

Someone on twitter asked whether the keyboard player in Liverpool was a replacement for Neil.
Joanne's reply was "Our new keyboard player is Ben"

That's a shame I liked Neil. Wonder what happened to him.

Neil decided to leave for various reasons. It's all quite sad for everyone. There's no falling out or anything.

It's a real shame that Neil is gone.

He was so much more than just a 'hired musician'. I've always thought of him as a proper member of THL since the Romantic? days. He has enough writing credits to be considered a proper member of the band. He was always up for a chat on the numerous times I met him and always seemed like a decent bloke. I'm quite sure that THL themselves are sad to see him go.

I hope whatever he does next we'll get to hear about it and that he doesn't fall off the face of the earth like so many ex Leaguers. Shame he doesn't have more of an online presence. Best of luck Neil.

Well said Patric. Neil always had time to talk to us, hope whatever he's moving on to is super successful for him!
Well who's that shouting? John, ex-Moderator - all he ever gives us is pain!

Totally agree with you Patric. I'm upset to hear this news. He's been an important member of the band for over 30 years and made a MASSIVE contribution. Very talented, he has co-written lots of their best songs and is one of the best keyboard players I've ever seen. He put in a colossal amount of focused energy to his performance at Manchester Apollo last December. So determined to give it his all. A key architect in turning the League into the dynamic live act that they have been since the Octopus tour. Thank you very much for everything Neil - I'm very sad that you have decided to leave. Wishing you all the best in the future.

Very sad that they have lost Nic and Neil in such a short space of time.
