A deluxe edition with another disc of demos and mixes is what is required.

Wow it's about time that Secrets became available again, as long as it's got some interesting extras I'd certainly buy it again.

I don't think I ever bought the commercial release of Secrets, there were about a million advance promos floating around on eBay before it actually hit the shops, it was easier to get one of those. No wonder Papillon went bust.

I'd never heard about that before, I thought that DJs weren't suppose to sell white label copies? Are there no ethics in the pop world. Papillon specialised in handling bands sacked by their old companies, as well as Secrets I bought a follow up album by Peter Hook's Monaco, it was most disappointing all album filler and no decent singles tracks. If that was the general standard of Papillon's output it must have had a lot to do with the company's demise. Secrets was a much better album, I forget the names of Monaco's two albums although they're floating about somewhere in the house.

No, there aren't any ethics in the pop world.

It's an inevitability that the overwhelming majority of promo stuff eventually ends up on the secondary market. Record companies know this, they used to try to stop it by writing pseudo-legal nonsense about promos remaining the property of the record company, but it has no power in law, and once you give someone something, it's theirs to do with as they please.

The sheer numbers of promo albums knocking around (and, before that, a three-track sampler from the album) must have had a big impact on the eventual chart placing of the album.

Secrets was a cracking album and deserved much better. Hopefully it gets that second time around.

I would really love to see the You'll be Sorry mixes on a bonus CD, maybe the Love Me Madly mixes too if that's possible. There was also an Alter Ego mix of AIEW that was only on vinyl. I doubt we will get anything like this, but one can dream.

i doubt the number of promos out there had any impact whatsoever on chart placing or sales.

unless the number of sales was incredibly low, the percentage and number of them wouldn't make
the slightest difference in them.

i collect promos as much as possible, along with the regular release, because they sometimes have extra or
different tracks, or in the case of some singles, the only way to get the mixes on CD, when they are usually
released digitally only.

Could we finally be getting that long talked about instrumental release? What was it called? Clear? Or am I dreaming that?

White Vinyl. Gatefold. Free giant poster.

Deluxe cd release with additional remix/instrumental version of the album.

Incorporate the ‘Secrets’ re-release into the upcoming RED Tour.

Finally release ‘Reflections’ as a single with killer video.

For me, ‘Secrets’ is THE best release since Dare. Head and shoulders above everything else. Octopus was a step in the right direction but everything about Secrets was right. Even the album cover was magnificent. Credo cover is the worst. I even prefer the Crash cover to Credo.
